Poker Pro Ted Forrest Knows How to Outplay Everyone

All professional poker players have unique poker techniques. All of them have the talent to annoy their opponents and all of them have the talent to ignore the irritating behaviors of their opponents. Perhaps, Ted Forrest has his own unique talent. Whatever you call it but whenever he is in front of his opponents, he always wears a smile, he has this boyish look, he sips either an orange juice or a diet Pepsi, he calls, raises and wins. We don't really know if such behavior actually annoys his opponents, but one thing is for sure, Ted Forrest has the talent of reading the reactions of his opponents. This professional poker player can determine whether his opponents are bluffing him or not. Now, that's one talent that all professional poker players would want to have.

Born in Syracuse, New York on September 24, 1964, Ted Forrest does not participate in poker tournaments often, which is why he only has a few poker achievements. Nevertheless, the achievements of this professional poker player are notable ones. Therefore, no matter how seldom he participates in poker tournaments, he has always been recognized by poker fans and his fellow professional poker players.

In 1993 alone, Ted Forrest already earned three World Series of Poker bracelets. The events where he finished first place included the US$1,500 Seven Card Razz event in which he won US$77,400, the US$1,500 Omaha 8 or Better event in which he won US$120,000, and the US$5,000 Seven Card Stud event in which he won US$114,000.

After such victories, Ted Forrest decided to concentrate on cash games. This professional poker player temporarily stopped from participating in poker tournaments until he made a comeback in 2004. It was such a triumphant comeback as he won two World Series of Poker bracelets in a single year. The events where this professional poker player placed first included the US$1,500 Seven Card Stud event in which he won US$111,440 and the US$1,500 No Limit Hold'em event in which he won US$300,300.

The World Series of Poker bracelets mean a lot to all professional poker players. That's why Ted Forrest was devastated when all the bracelets he won in 1993 were stolen. One of the bracelets he won in 2004 is now with his daughter, while the other one is safely kept.

Ted Forrest has another World Series of Poker bracelet though. He bought it from professional poker player Hamid Dastmalchi after the latter said that for him, the bracelet was only worth US$1,500 and not US$5,000, which is its true value. Ted Forrest then gave Dastmalchi US$1,500 and took the bracelet.

If this professional poker player has been playing as regular as the other professional poker players, then he could have earned more than how much he has earned now. Nevertheless, his excellent skills in poker just make him a remarkable professional poker player, and it does not matter whether he is seen at poker tables often or not.
